Grow a Dome
Grow a Dome is a project I founded after becoming fascinated with geodesic domes.  According to the American Institute of Architects, the geodesic dome is “the strongest, lightest and most efficient means of enclosing space known to man.”

My friend Cassidy and I prototyped a design for a new kind of geodesic dome in the summer of 2012.

Grow A Dome was the first and only “growable” structure for living, working, growing, healing, relief, and celebration. Our system lets  you expand your domes with zero waste using all local materials.  Further, our system allows you to use any rigid material for the structure, including beams, pipe, bamboo, pool sticks, pvc, conduit, and any anything else that is available.

My focus:
Invent: Co-Designed and built prototype
Identity: Logo, Tagline
Value Propositions: Unique Selling Point, Unique Revenue Model
Presence: Website with Online Store, Social Media
I decided to put this project on the backburner once Mass Mosaic began picking up.
Mosaic Earth
Mosaic Earth (mosaicearth.com) was an open source project to build the first synergy center.
The Synergy Center is a term I coined to refer to a physical space that condenses and systemizes a way to hold a local community's emotional, creative, and resource-based needs in a global web of abundance.

There are many details to the blueprint, so I’ve made it open source and hope others will contribute!

Contributions:
Designed the system; Branding: created value propositions, logo; Business Development: Route market, monetization, target audiences, and minimum viable products
Nation of Dreamers
I founded the Nation of Dreamers in mid 2012.  Nation of Dreamers crowd-sourced the creative and altruistic dreams of various participants to form new kinds of prototype societies that would exist for a single event. NOD does this by throwing parties around common dream themes people have submitted. The result is all participants can experience living in a “spontaneous nation” in physical reality where the collective culture is entirely based on non-traditional paradigms. A council of elders screened all themes and guideed the community to safely experience them.

Contributions:
Community Development: Identity, Mission, Growth Model, Revenue Model; Branding: Logo, Tagline, Website, Copy, Social Media; Media: Film Scores and Promotional Films (yet to be released publically); Infrastructure: Invented new growable celebration space (see growadome) for NOD events, Collaboration Systems
Mass Mosaic
Mass Mosaic (massmosaic.com) is a resource ecosystem that connects “the world of plenty” to anyone. Its infrastructure assists with the flow of “everything that is needed” to be exchanged in “any way you want.” Its been a 10 year non-stop love affair with this project. It was eventually reborn into AnyShare (www.anysha.re)

Contributions:
CEO; Biz Model; Business Development: Market, Accelearator Partnerships, Value Proposition; Branding: Name, Logo, Tagline,  etc.; Website: Fully designed and co-managed development; Marketing: Promo video, website sliders, social media profiles, etc
IRSU
IRSU was a holistic consulting project I co-founded with my partner in 2011.  We noticed we had complementary gifts in helping communities thrive.  I focus on deep principle integration, and collaboration structure + process.  She focuses on nurturing leaders and understanding pain points within a community ecosystem.

After a few sessions with some powerful clients, our website was hacked by an online virus!  Months of work on presenting IRSU was lost, and we felt it best to re-assess.  We realized IRSU was a transitional project for us that we did not want to rebuild.  I’m happy to share our business model and assets, as it still is a fertile venture for the right team.

Contributions:
Business Development: Service Productization, Value Propositions, Minimum Viable Products; Branding: Name, Identity, Tagline, Logo, 3D Logo Reveals and Promo Films; Content: Website + Copy, Newsletters, Social Media Profiles, Web Banners
Start Learning
Start Learning was a project I founded in spring 2012 after uncovering a large market opportunity in monetizing online education through participatory sources.  Start Learning focused on the most bountiful and universal time in the learning process – the very beginning – and engaged anyone to spark learning via a unique social call to action.

I developed Start Learning after being shocked at the way public high schools in the US are structured.  It was very sad to see the waste and ineffectiveness.  I began as a fascinating exploration which ultimately became an unexpectedly powerful way to monetize and grow a sustainable education ecosystem.

Although Starting Learning is still very viable, I do not want to manifest it. It’s not my passion. However, I would love to gift it to a capable tech saavy educator, progressive learning institution, or social entrepreneur. Feel free to contact me to discuss. Also, you will get the branding materials I created royalty-free.

Contributions:
Monetization specs and minimum viable product testing; crowd source collaboration templates; business development – cost projections,  market opportunity development; branding – name, tagline, logo, 3D logo reveal, identity assets; web – responsive website, social media channels; content –  copy, prototype lesson videos, banner images

Green Film Shoots
Green Film Shoots was a social venture I founded in 2007 after witnessing the unnecessary waste created by the filmmaking industry on my various film projects (I'm a director).  The idea for the venture started as a collaboration with my friend Chase (chasebowman.com).

GreenFilm Shoots was a certification system for independent and corporate film productions.  The productions applied for various levels of greenness, with the more demanding levels requiring a screening process. I put the project on hold after deciding to travel abroad to pursue other projects.  My lesson from this venture was around how difficult changing money paradigms can be. Even if change would save money, the very act of discussing the sleeping giant threatened certain parties (let’s call them “sponsors”), and disrupted the status quo in a way that was not voluntarily participatory for all parties. Ultimately, this experience deepened my conclusion that I need to focus on manifesting systems that holistically re-contextualize value.
