How Muse Got Its Name
The name Muse was derived from the nine sister muses or goddesses of Zeus as geniuses and inspiration in ancient Greek mythology:
  +  Calliope (epic poetry)
  +  Clio (history)
  +  Euterpe (flutes and music)
+  Thalia (comedy and pastoral poetry)
  +  Melpomene (tragedy)
  +  Terpsichore (dance)
+  Erato (love poetry and lyric poetry)
+  Polyhymnia (hymns and sacred poetry)
  +  Urania (astronomy)
Muse and the corresponding, powerful number nine represent patience, meditation, and harmony. To muse is to contemplate or meditate in silence, as on some subject—a fitting name for a tea company with the purpose of relaxing the mind and body into equilibrium and a state of balance and wellness.

Modern Muse
Muse was established in January of 1988 by a veteran botanist of Macedonia, Greece who was studying plant life and meditating atop Mount Athos. Upon a spiritual vision, he was inspired to cultivate and refine the herbal tea process. The herbal teas are made from tea leaves and unique varieties which come from flowers, seeds, and roots. Herbal infusions enhance the natural state of the tea.

Mission Muse
  +  Mental health/relaxation
  +  Physical health benefits
  +  Meditation
  +  Inspiration
  +  Positive practice
Audience
  +  Adults 25+
  +  Men & women
  +  Middle to upper class

CONCEPT
The nine herbal tea flavors of Muse tea are defined by the Classical Greek concept of the nine muses. The technically drawn type of the Muse logo and the earthy and rustic color palette is appropriate in depicting a combination of ancient Greece with modern-day America.
