The Western Kentucky University Recreation Administration department offered began to offer the Nonprofit Administration program as an Undergraduate Minor and a Graduate Certificate in 2012. I was given the opportunity to design the banner for the program during my internship at WKU Imagwest.

 

There are approximately 1.5 million nonprofit organizations in the United States and many NGOs (non-governmental organizations). Nonprofit organizations serve a variety of needs in the community. Some include healthcare, veterans, education, poverty, enviromental, youth. They wanted a banner to represent the many ways that nonprofit organizations impact society on a global scale. So I sat down with the directors of the department and we came up with keywords that represent the types of nonprofits, a globe to represent the world, and hands to represent the support they provide. 

The design was used to make 2 stand up banners and on the department's website.
