OMERO, POLO, VERNE
The project is a collaboration with Luciano Fagnola, an artisan of the book that has been working on bindery for more than 40 years. The collection of three different travel bags was born from the idea of the book as a trusty companion of our journeys but also a wonderful journey of the mind itself.
Backpack, business bag and shopper have the names of three legendary writers and travellers -Omero, Polo, Verne- and use a specific detail of the manufactoring of books, performed to obtain the folding of an hard surface on the back of the book.
The collection was exhibited at “Operae - Indipendent design festival -” in Turin from 6 to 8 November 2015, curated by Angela Rui, with others italian designers that have been part of the project with the aim to put together design and craftsmanship.
