Last winter I had the chance to experience a rare phenomenon in the part of the world that I live in: frozen rain, covering the forests that I love and photograph for so long. I knew that this is a chance to capture something unique. I was blown away by the cold beauty of the frozen nature. Every step of the way was a dangerous one, trees and ice falling everywhere, and clearings seemed like islands of calmness in a storm. I feel lucky I was able to live such an experience, and see nature in a form so eerie and beautiful.
