This project was for the American Advertising Awards in Charlotte. The goal was to use original photography in an advertising campaign. I chose to photograph my little brothers reading and make it look like their imagination was causing them to take flight. I knew this would be a challenge, but I thought it would be a fun one.
Working with kids I knew would be a difficult, but after a long, and tiring afternoon, I had my source images. Then I had to make them magical. So to the computer I went.
It took me for ever to get them all just right checking every detail, but I finally had my images just the way I wanted them. It's the best feeling in the world seeing a finished project that you did from start to finish. Every step, every element was original and I was so happy with the end results.
Here are all of the finished images. Each one completly different but entirely original.
In the end this project went on to win the 2015 Charlotte American Advertising Award for Advertising Colateral, Photography, Digitally Enhanced. Needless to say I was excited, but I was blown away at how much I learned from taking one project from A to Z completly in house and by myself.
