Landing.jobs: Reinventing the Tech Jobs Marketplace

Landing.jobs is a candidate-driven tech jobs marketplace. An international bunch of developers, designers, technologists and hiring specialists in Lisbon and London. Their mission is to build nothing less than the world’s top destination for tech professionals.

After the Landing.jobs rebranding in early 2015, I partnered with Gustavo Pimenta from SensesLab. Our task was to redesign their main touchpoint: the tech jobs marketplace. We had to integrate the new brand positioning, naming, and style, but also dig deep and set strong foundations for the future. They operate in a fierce, competitive industry, so we wanted to create a meaningful experience for job candidates. We set out to not only make tech recruitment a less painful process but to make it a pleasure.

I led the visual design of the new Landing.jobs. In the beginning, I used Style Tiles to show distinct visual directions. During the rest of the project, we went with InVision to discuss mockups and communicate design rationale. I also made contributions to the interaction design, in close collaboration with Gustavo.

In the end, we delivered a solid groundwork. User-tested wireframes, a collection of mobile and desktop template mockups, and a visual style guide. It allowed the Landing.jobs team to develop, refine and extend their platform.

Our work contributed to a 25% MoM growth. Following their relaunch, Landing.jobs reached #1 on Product Hunt.
