Artist: Gregory Crewdson
Description: This book displays the work of photographer Gregory Crewdson between 1985-2005. I've always been bsessed with his work, and the ominous vibes that his portraits exude. While Crewdson's work depicts normal scenes from everyday life, there is always one thing within the image that just makes it feel off. While the scenes remain plausible, the look on the models' faces or the way the light shines into the room give his images this insidious feeling. His subjects are often looking into the distance, a blank expression on their faces, which is what I wanted my self-portrait to emulate.
