The concept behind this project can simply be explained as a variation of a Hybrid Book.
For those of you who are not familiar with the term, the hybrid aspect of the book pairs the main text along with added content/bonus materials — photographs, illustrations, maps, background documents, etc.
In this particular book – Lulu’s Amazing Book of Baking, I have taken a hybrid approach to cookbooks. Combining the cookbook with a hybrid book (in this case, somewhat a picture book), I am trying to create a fun, interesting, engaging and interactive book for children (more specifically young girls) who are interesting in learning Cooking/Baking.
The book is still under process, though the covers and color theme of the book has been decided.The visual psychology of the book is created keeping in mind the likes and dislikes of young girls.
