Character Design: Antagonist/Protagonist
Our brief was to create an Antagonist and Protagonist character using a word from a list of words to get us started. I choose 'Mythical' and started looking at Fairies in old Irish folklore and how they were considered quite spiteful and evil unlike the more modern view of kind little creatures at the end of your garden. With this in mind I decided to create her to seem or look good and kind. Her lack of eyebrows was a deliberate choice to hint at the fact we don't actually know what she is thinking.
The troll character came after this and I decided to make a character who is thought of as cruel and evil as the actual Protagonist. He's grumpy and misunderstood but ultimately caring, kind and helpful.
