About this project:
As a junior designer I felt like I should add an UI/UX design to my portfolio mainly to demonstrate I Am capable of creating one. This is my very first layout, learning-in-process project.
Travel is my big passion and so is taking photos. Therefore, I decided to create a mock-up travel app which would allow it's user to comfortably share his or hers travel experience with family or friends - from pictures to personal notes about how much did they enjoyed particular stay or trip. Based on this, a feedback and/or recommendation can be easily given.
I started with icon design - they had to be big, bold and simple to understand. To keep unity, all of the icons are placed in circles which are also connected back to them to create a flow and to link a description text smoothly. I decided to use images instead of text when possible, because they communicate better and faster, regardless of user's native language.
Overall appearance is rather minimalistic and comes in 3 different colour schemes. This way it better supports the structure, which is clear and easy to navigate.
