Antoine Chaya serves as senior director of strategic accounts at Oracle Corporation in Redwood Shores, California. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Antoine Chaya enjoys the wines of nearby Napa Valley, where the community recently celebrated award-winning local vintages at the Festival del Sole.
Each summer since 2006, the 10-day cultural festival has hosted events at locations throughout the city, where it highlights the finest wineries of the area, showcases local art, and presents shows from world-class musicians and performers. In previous years, the Festival del Sole has been graced by performances from the likes of Joshua Bell, the Royal Ballet, and the Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra.
Individual festival events like Taste of Napa provide attendees with the opportunity to sample items from more than 80 top-tier breweries, restaurants, and wineries, such as Seven Stones, Carneros Brewing Company, and the Compadres Rio Grille. Though some of the festival events require the purchase of a pass in order to participate, many celebrations and performances are free to the public. The ultimate aim of the festival is to encourage cultural development in Napa, as well as celebrate art.
