When creating interiors of a family apartment, the 1st thing that a designer have to worry about, is the comfort of those, who will reside in that area. This accommodation belongs to the family carrying five members, including three children. So we had
a goal to make the living space that would respond to the needs of each one. At the first step we had to elaborate a planning solution and combine two apartments into one unit. It was rather a complicated process as we have totally changed layout of the rooms in each one. We have divided the space in 2 parts, separating living, kitchen and dining areas from the bedroom area. This idea has come across us as we’
Open plan area accomodates kitchen flowing into dining room and lounge zones. Here we have applied mostly a light color palette with bright accents. Kitchen is furnished with custom-made furniture produced by local manufacturers and end fully equipped. Kitchen island situated in the center is multifunctional as contains a refrigerating cabinet for wine and a range of cupboards. This trendy way of organizing the space has unfortunately the reverse side of the coin – strong kitchen smells easily spread across apartment. In order to avoid this we have installed a transparent sliding door. Caisson ceiling is a distinctive feature of this area and ties a touch of classical feel into the space. In the rest of areas we have mixed made upon request furniture items and pieces by famous brands. Wall unit with an illuminated niche for TV makes the look of the lounge completed.
As we get into the bedroom zone we can feel an elegant atmosphere typical for classical English interiors: half-lighted spaces, faced with wooden panels walls, heavy curtains on the walls and floor lamps with classical shades – everything like in traditional British houses.
