For the National Police of Colombia, as for any Police in the world, preventing crimes in its entirety is almost impossible, so we used the best weapon we had, education. We created the Anti-Theft Quick Course, a platform to teach people behaviors that make life easier for thieves, so that citizens are also part of the solution.
In the investigation phase we found that the messages from the National Police did not have the desired effect, they were taken as an institutional communication and were quickly discarded, the solution was to let the thieves themselves, and not the policemen, be the ones who told that they should avoid the people not to be victims of crime.
