I worked with the CAMPFIRE team on a music video/short which included an ancient pyramid scene. Like the miniature forest, this piece is also a part of that passion project. Due to other project committments, we had to pause on production. But I hope we can pick this back up again soon to test it with the dry ice and add some gloss to the top tier piece.
In the scene, a pyramid rises above the treetops of an untouched forest. The stairs' crevices will spew out dry ice downwards in a cascading fashion. The monolithic peak was made to look otherworldly compared to the aging pyramid.
My role: Material sourcing, mechanizing/puppeting tests, pyramid construction.
