Antoine Chaya's profile

Georgia Tech Launches Program

Antoine Chaya has worked with the Oracle Corporation for nearly two decades and currently serves as the company’s senior director of strategic accounts in Redwood Shores, California. Before beginning his career, Antoine Chaya earned an MBA and a PhD in information technology management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

In April 2015 Georgia Tech issued a press release to announce that it will use a significant alumnus donation to launch a new collective of initiatives called CREATE-X, which is designed to help students develop the skills they need to create startup companies. While many of the CREATE-X programs have already started, including the Startup Lab course, CREATE-X will unify the programs with a shared goal of helping undergraduate students become entrepreneurially confident.

Students will be able to select from a wide range of programs focused on CREATE-X’s main principles, “learn, make, launch.” Along with the Startup Lab course, the program’s signature offerings are the Idea to Prototype Undergraduate Research Experience and the Startup Summer program. Many of the CREATE-X programs emphasize interdisciplinary work, an important curriculum strategy at Georgia Tech.
