aPlate
Direct-mail campaign for Christmas 2011
What does have the primary meaning: a tool or an idea? What was there first, an egg or a hen? Who is right: the one who suggests or the one who does?

These might be not necessarily the questions someone wants to answer just before unpacking Christmas presents, but those are the questions which have been asked and answered continuously in the creative business for some time now. And with the rise of such a tool as an iPad – even more frequently so.

Bureau Gesamt has come up with an idea of aPlate – a simple low-tech device from our childhood. It has no learning curve, its tech specs are amazing (isn't it a question of interpretation?) and its usage is limited to users imagination. Its motto – "Ideas. Served on aPlate".

A selection of clients and partners has received a beautifully packed and fully branded device with an invitation to visit the special website, www.aplate.de The site was also linked through Twitter, Facebook and company's blog to let others see the idea.
