New Sirio Ultra Black is presented by the manufacturer as one of the darkest papers in the market. The darkness has always been associated with secrets and magic. As a promotional tool for the latest range of Fedrigoni uncoated black papers I have designed a paper pyramid which is also a box of black chocolate bars. The shape of the box is inspired by pyramids of ancient American civilizations, Mayan Temple of Kukulcan in particular. No one knows exactly what sacred rituals took place
there thousands years ago. There is a belief that pyramids still hide secrets. Ancient American civilizations are also considered
as the first people who cooked chocolate beverages which were used for special rituals.
Paper pyramid I have produced consists of 7 levels which are made up of 7 different Sirio Ultra Black papers including embossed E/R65 Fiandra. Inside every level you can find a dark chocolate bar with recipe of peculiar chocolate drink. The text on the pyramid demonstrates the special properties of Sirio Ultra Black papers - the perfect hot foil application and UV coating.
