I was looking for a job when LIFE Residential's Head of Development sent me a challenge.

The Challenge
- You have 1 week to build a pure HTML/CSS one page site for a future development.
- The page does not need a functional backend, it will be judged visually and on the code. So for example a contact form would not need to do anything, just be visual.
- There is no fixed style guide, but we would like the site to fit with the brand as much as possible.- The page does not have to be overly complicated, just a simple demo of your front end development ability.
The Scenario
LIFE are looking to build a development microsite for an upcoming development The Apex in Ealing.
Our site should be one page, that when potential tenants or current owners perform a Google search, they find our site and it channels business back to the company.
The page should include:
- The LIFE logo
- Some information about the development
- A contact form
- Our contact information
Long term we’ll be looking for a consistent feel, so that when people are on a LIFE site, they’ll know it’s a LIFE website (not just by the logo).
As a first microsite, we want to develop a new style that is consistent with the LIFE brand and we can incorporate moving forwards.
