Autoglym is a British manufacturer of a range of car care and valeting products, which are sold in over 45 countries.
The Autoglym Professional Range is an extention of the main Autoglym product range, aimed more towards tradesmen and professional car care.
I was briefed with redesigning the packaging
Part of the brief was to create a templatable design, which allowed for the entire range of AutoGlym Trade products to sit within, in a more engaging way.
Another aspect of the brief, was that AutoGlym customers were sometimes having trouble distinguishing exactly which products should be used on which parts of the car - when sat on their shelves. My solution to this was to use a 3d wireframe car, as the main feature of the packaging design - and using the specific AutoGlym colour for each product, to highlight where it should be used. This also allowed for the 3d car to be posed in more dynamic positions for each product, creating a more 'user friendly' and dynamic packaging for each product.
