I am currently working on a Kinetic text project for my Video I  module. It is based on "Mr. Sandman" song by Oranger.  I will be posting my work in progress as the project goes.

From a long  list of song choices my three main picks were "Mr.Sandman" by Oranger, "Bully Boys" by The Tiger Lillies or "Michael Caine" by Madness. I began writing down and sketching ideas for each of these songs. I came up with most ideas for "Mr.Sandman" and "Bully Boys".

As I had the most ideas for Mr. Sandman, it was the song I chose at the end.

I then developed a step by step plan for it.

Colour Studies

At first I planned to make the entire video in three colours- white, blue and gold but as I worked on it, I established that repeating the same colours all the time was making the video boring.  I introduced a strong red colour to the colour shemes.  The red ads power and drama.   A  slight touch of black and brown is also present in the wallpaper and for the table design.
