We were tasked with creating a social awareness poster for my InDesign Class and I felt that with the death of Robin Williams and the information we had about his secret battle with depression, this would be a good representation of the struggles the people with depression often face.
This assignment was to create a "Bend It" ad. That means to present a product or service in a way not normally thought of. Crayola has a wholesome brand and targets childrens, moms, and educators. I wanted to fast forward the idea of kids who loved to color taken to the extreme.
Idea behind this ad was to focus on the natural expression of giving children instruments to explore their creativity rather than instant gratification of hand-held electronic devices.
The assignment behind this ad was to give an example of our product as "shockvertising"
