I am interested in the various ways, without actual photo-manipulation or Photoshop, that one can distort the facial features/human body. So far, I have been exploring this through the use of a magnifying glass. I also found it rather appealing how the enlargments of specific parts of the face with the magnifying glass also gives this sense of anonymity to the model. You may be able to see specific features in detail, but not the entire face.
I wanted to keep the photographs very plain and simple regarding background and colour (hence the monochrome), so that it allows viewers to focus more on the model and distortion itself.
