This project was for a Caravan cleaning brand. They already had around 6 products for sale on Amazon, but wanted a dedicated website. My job was to design the interface of the website, to think of how people interacted with it, as well as making it look as user-friendly as possible.
The original products already had their own logo and branding, so I built on this to create a very colourful website design.
My finished home page design incorporates all of the main products at the bottom of the page but still 'above the fold' - all of which are branded with their own specific colour.
The colour coded products allow for easy navigation and the customer can easily access the product page and go on to purchase what they need.
The home page has 4 banners which change every few seconds, or there is the option to fast forward through the banners to see the latest offers. Again, all of the banners use one of the bright colours taken from the product branding. Even though there are quite a lot of colours on the page, I feel it gives off a fun and quirky side to the site, it certainly makes it more interesting.
The aim of the banners is to encourage the visitor to purchase from the store, so the appropriate slogans and images were used carefully on each banner that I designed.
The Product page was to be fairly simple in terms of what is possible. I wanted the user to be able to purchase their chosen product easily. The design has large and clear points - the name of the product, the price, the 'Add to Basket' button, important points, and the ability to change the quantity easily, using clickable arrows. It also allows for the admin to inform the customers whether the product is in stock or not.
I have also integrated the option to use more than 1 image to show the product, as well as the option to zoom in to the product for a closer inspection.
At the bottom of each product page is 'Other products' for quick navigation to purchase other products.
