LK typeface
The LK font is an exclusive typeface designed by the graphic designer Lumír Kajnar in collaboration with Lars Kemper to establish an unique studio´s visual identity. The typeface is proportional extendable in
a purely geometric form. The basic grid keeps characters in an identical height and width for all glyphs
and all spaces. Its simple aesthetic style allows multiple variations of characters inside the grid so that
even all diacritical marks and indexes are contained in the grid structure. Each glyph becomes a pictogram itself and in larger formats it turns into a very decorative ornamental mosaic. The usage of this typeface brings an original, simple, well-managed and very characteristic graphic style into the studio´s visual communication.

The layout of the LK font was inspired by the styles of modern typographers from the first part of the 20th century (DeStijl movement, Theo van Doesburg typeface 1919). The LK font used the advantages of the
digital age and due to this typography becomes suddenly an easily programmable and adaptable element
of corporate identity. It incorporates the same shape architecture from the letter »A« all the way through
to the »smiley« pictogram.
