FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION ! I wanted to illustrate how I felt when I heared the news of Charlie Hebdo's attack. I first wanted to paint in the background of the picture an army rising behind Marianne. But no. At that moment Charlie Hebdo was alone on the front line. Even after the historic marches of yesterday around the world It still leaves me a sour taste in the mouth. Let us not forget what happened and that the threat is still present. Just remember that Freedom of expression should not be a sacrifice but a right.
