RUNNER UP FOR LOGO DESIGN
Client needed a logo for their business called Hot Socket. Hot Socket creates Wi-Fi enabled devices for monitoring various appliances in your home. One product, which is plugged into the wall outlet, can monitor power usage of a lamp or tv. Other products can monitor your garage door, your outdoor BBQ, or yard sprinkler water usage. The monitoring of the home devices is done via an app on your phone or tablet.
The icon was created to look both like a house and a wall outlet. This represents that fact that their devices are built for the home and that they plug into home outlets. A wifi signal was added to show that their home devices can be monitored via an app.
