LILIUM - Prints for Northern European Market

The Second collection is based on Botanicals. The Floral that was chosen for this collection was the lily. Tiger lily to be specific. Initially it started off with either the lily or the tulip. But after sketching out these two florals and visualizing what we might be looking for, it was narrowed down to the “ tiger lily”. Next was to see how to go about it. Taking textural inspiration from Joseph Frank’s artworks and keeping in mind the boldness of the motifs and also the usage of colors, this collection came into being. As one can see the works of Joseph Frank is a little bit towards the traditional side. What has been done in this collection is that the textures and colors and the boldness has been infused with smooth outlines and contemporary looks.
LILIUM , the scientific name for lily has been taken as the name for this collection.
