Spartan Football Helmet

The Spartan Helmet was created to minimize the occurrence of concussions and other related injuries such as neck traumas and bone fissures by dissipating the impact power in the pods located over the main shell. By the advent of new materials, such as cork polymer and a variety of plastic polymers, including algae-based plastic, Spartan's pods can be easily substituted during a game in case of any cracking due to direct or indirect hit. Its design was inspired by natural shielded animals, such as rams, turtles and beetles.
