The following pieces contain experiments in texture and atmosphere, created through digital audio synthesis. Many feature a facet of digital audio processing known as granular synthesis. Each piece was created using SuperCollider, an environment and programming language for audio synthesis. Each compositions contains either shorter & more experimental, or longer & more atmospheric sounds.
These pieces derive their title from the idea that artistic creation is both inspired and copied from past experiences. The intentional and unintentional influences of art are demonstrated by their titles, as they linger between the meaningless and meaningful. Each piece presents a processed collage of sounds that appear nearly unrecognizable when compared to source sounds, while still retaining some of the source sound's "unintentional" influence.
