What are the times, so are the astronauts.

I did this work as an assignment for a course and got a little carried away. The assignment was about generative geometry, also known as MoGraph, as it is called in the Cinema 4D toolbox. You've probably seen intros on TV and animated backgrounds of abstract geometric shapes in video: all of them are made using this technology. A geometric object is created, and then its animated metamorphoses are adjusted using these tools.

“Cosmonauts” is a common name in Russia for the police security forces equipped to suppress riots. However, in modern Russian reality, any (even peaceful and single-picket) manifestation of disagreement with the current policy is automatically equated to mass riots and must be suppressed. By the way, forceful suppression of peaceful protest violates Articles 29 and 31 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, but who cares?

The paper cup presented in my animation becomes a new “weapon of the proletariat”: during protests in the Russian Federation and Belarus, such cups were repeatedly thrown toward the “cosmonauts”. A paper cup cannot cause serious harm to a security officer equipped in this "spacesuit", so the authority's attempt to send protesters to prison for those acts seems absurd. That is how a paper cup has become a meme of Russian protest.

The fogged visor of the helmet is another sad meme of Russian protest. On January 23, 2021, at a protest rally in St. Petersburg, one of the “cosmonauts” kicked 54-year-old Margarita Yudina in the stomach, which sent her to the hospital. This act of police violence was filmed by eyewitnesses, which caused strong outrage in society, and even leaked to the federal media (usually strictly censored about political protests). As a result, the security officer was forced to make a personal apology to the victim. He explained his actions by saying that the visor on his helmet was fogged up, so he did not see what was happening.

The laws of physics are not as easy to violate as the laws of the Russian Federation, so our “cosmonaut” can only obey them. One day everything will fall into place and the laws of the state will become just as inevitable for those who act as their guarantors. And where does our hero go under the influence of the forces of inertia, gravity, conservation of energy, and something else (I’m not strong, I’m a C student), we can dream up in the comments )).
