THE SEVILLANER COVER Nº 5
The sevillaner is a collective illustration project as a tribute to the legendary The New Yorker from a Sevillian perspective in which I was invited to participate and this is my cover.

I made a 3d fountain using my memory as a reference and take out two shot to do come color test.

Color palette
As the design is very geometric I was looking for contrast and a limited palette. In the end the palette I chose is a bit of a color palette that represents the city well.

The bird
I was looking for an element that would blend with the illustration and at the same time break the geometry, that would give it some life and I chose the chunky blackbird, which is a bird quite abundant in the city and does not have a religious meaning as for example the white dove. Religiosity is something of the city, but since the plates were going to be sold I wanted to get out of that to have less competitors.
