War Engines is a tabletop card game designed by a colleague and me. It simulates large-scale medieval fantasy combat and aims to incorporate logistics, strategy, morale, and other factors of war in an easy-to-learn but hard-to-master game. I am in charge of the game's design.
Above are our first drafts of cards. These were used as proofs of concept as we explored potential rules and developed the game. Below are our current templates and sample cards. Inspired by similar games, we aim to maintain a familiar layout while capturing our unique flair. This project has allowed me to explore the world of AI generation. Learning how to create and revise AI prompts has been essential in developing this project.
