Digital painting of Belchior, one of my favorite brazilian artists. Using a photograph as a base, I built the skin using watercolor brushes in Photoshop and multiple layers to create depth of light and shadow.

The text "Ano passado eu morri, mas esse ano eu não morro!" means "Last year I died, but this year I won't!", and is from one of his most famous songs around here.

For the composition, I chose green and shades of yellow, 'cause is there anything more brazilian than that?
