Cinema as a form of art, and filmmakers as artists have always been agents of cultural change. There is no better tool than cinema to raise voice against an issue and to create awareness against that issue in the society.

South Indian cinema, especially Tamil and Malayalam industries have churned out some of the best creations on reel, portraying stories of oppressions in the name of caste, creed, class, gender, and almost every element of society which is a cause of discrimination.

This video, which was done back in 2021, is a small tribute to all the filmmakers who used their creation as a tool to protest and, thus portraying strong politics, and educating people through their movies.
