The client requested a floral print design combined with birds for their boho dress collection as well as a matching border.

I chose to draw galah cockatoos seeing as the brand is Australian and they are native birds. They also have quite a presence with their colours and big feathers on top of their heads. Instead of making them too colourful I added floral patterns to the birds to show their decorative side.

I sketched the elements and border with pencil on paper, after that I traced them on Procreate before importing them into photoshop to add colours and create the repeating layout.

Then I mocked up the design for the client to be able to visualise it on their garments.
