Norlase is an emerging global ophthalmic medical device company developing next-generation laser solutions for the treatment of retina and glaucoma disease. The baseline is “unique and disruptive technology” holding lots of potential, which we love working with. Our collaboration resulted in the ECHO reflecting the advancement in technology, precision and sophistication all embodied in a sophisticated design with high-end finish details.
Getting user facing elements right for any product is crucial, it’s what they touch, feel and interact with. We meticulously crafted the surfaces and touchpoints of ECHO to verify it was fit for purpose while ensuring the internal components could be assembled for production.
The ECHO is only one part of a much larger puzzle. The compactness is not only there to show-off, it helps Norlase’s product becoming highly compatible with most of the external components it will interact with.
ECHO differentiate itself from its predecessor LEAF by the carefulness put in its details. How to translate “better performances” into a similar shape archetype ? We decided to focus on materials and exploit manufacturing processes such as CNC milling to enhance this premium quest.
