Music Festival Themed Wedding Branding

Mary and Eric are "festival kids", meaning they love to spend a weekend at a good music festival with jam bands, beers, and their friends. When we initially discussed their wedding invitations they liked the idea of incorporating the sunflowers they planned to use to decorate their venue as well as their wedding colors (navy and sunflower yellow). Knowing that music festivals were something they loved to do together, I thought a festival poster would be the perfect inspiration for their wedding branding. This was a fun exercise in hand-lettering and getting the invitations printed on a larger format with glossy stock really helped to reinforce the concept.
Translucent envelopes allowed me to add the sunburst logo on the back of the "Additional information card" and using tone-on-tone colors meant that they yellow type wouldn't interfere with writing on the envelope.
Because the wedding would be outdoors on a July afternoon, the couple asked for the wedding programs to double as fans. These were handmade (most of the hard work was done by Sam!). A more formal looking design seemed fitting for the more formal part of the event.
The couple asked that a few chalkboard-style signs be created for the wedding day. The board with their names was placed at the venue entrance to help direct guests to the correct location. A menu summarized what to expect for dinner. Both were hand lettered and hand-painted to match the branding on the invitations.
A few handmade paper banners were placed around the venue to give a more festive atmosphere. The cheers banner was for the bar. A similar banner was hung at the wedding couple's table.
