entangel (instrument, 2014)

entangle

This instrument uses intertwined stretch sensors to control the modification of fragile both human voice and feedback input.
A low-comfort playability is guaranteed by the tangled up means of control such as the stretch sensors or the loop buttons both attached to the fingers but operated in opposite or equal ways (either can be disturbing).
A double (or more) is possible and leaves each player with less than half of the handling while adding to the total amount of influence on the instrument.

I invented and produced it during the students class of the research project 3dmin: www.3dmin.org
and with the help of Dominik Hildebrand Marques Lopes who guided my through the SuperCollider programming.

It was played in a solo performance and partially in a duet with Niko LFO's virtual no input mixer.
Please watch the video of our group concert here.

The stage picture was taken by Till Bovermann at our first concert at Roter Salon, Berlin (July 2014).
