To start I used the same colors and layout that are on my original flag, which is Puerto Rico’s flag. I used the red and white stripes with the blue triangle. I did this because I still wanted to incorporate my culture and this is a way of showing people my ethnicity. Instead of a star I used a butterfly figure that is half made of flowers. I did this because I wanted to show that not only are these my favorite things but it reflects that I am a growing process.
