A colourful Saint-Jan's Square / Een kleurrijker Sint-Jansplein

So, the city and the district of Antwerp are giving the St. Jan's Square a much needed facelift to make it a cool and safe spot for their residents. They asked Shtick to add some fun visuals and amp up the square's vibe, so I took out my ipad and started drawing!

The three visitor entrances and the entrance to the underground parking garage were adorned with durable stickers. Local residents had a say in the designs, expressing a desire to depict urban life. The city also teamed up locally to deck out utility boxes. Kids from nearby schools doodled a whopping 80 drawings, giving the square a lively and chill vibe. They even swung by to check out their masterpieces on the square.

The locals' pride in their neighbourhood is all about feeling safe and comfy. Thanks to those colourful changes, the square's rocking a vibrant and cozy look.

And the best part? Kids and moms from around the neighbourhood are reclaiming the square, making this a much needed gathering place where the locals hang out and play safely.
