A Compo Designation of Book Covers

Final composition of book covers for a classic novel.
A Designation of three book covers for a classic novel was to be created in this project. The purpose of it was to effectively communicates the author's message or point of view behind the narrative of the book, utilizing the novel's context and elements as well as employing one of the seven creative strategies learned in our previous Project for each cover. The idea is to use the book cover as a way to more directly express the author's beliefs, point of view, and/or agenda behind its famous contexts and not just the story or familiar elements. For the three Book Covers, each one will have to represent a Type Cover Only, Handmade and a Designers choice of any design.
It was really fun doing this project as you need to follow exactly the rules laid down to get the full grades.
It has always been, and it will always start with sketches where ideas are then put on paper. Sketches are great to start any design project.
Next after sketching will be to digitalize most of my sketches to have a better compo. With three book covers, three different variations were required to be created each for the methods mentioned.
Three Variations for the Type Compo
Three Variations for the Handmade Compo
Three Variations for the Designer's Compo
Making refinement of any given project gives a great finish compo as one pays more attention to details. After Variations, refinement was made on the best ones of each method.
A final Type Book Cover Designation
A final Handmade Book Cover Designation
A final Designer's Book Cover Designation
Final composition of three Book Covers following precisely the specifications.
Any design yields great and better results of what you creating when you follow precise steps and principles.  I enjoy finishing up this project as it also adds more experience to the ones I already had.
