2012 – Kyoorius Awards Trophy. Given out to winners of the Kyoorius Creative Awards, recognising annually the best design and advertising works from India.
The trophy was based on the identity I designed.
I designed and prototyped the trophies using Play-Doh (!), with the additional help of Adobe Photoshop.
I do not know how to use 3D modelling software.
Addikt (Amsterdam) created the 3D models.
Shown here is version 3.0. Some fine-tuning went into the head and the ears of the elephant and was eventually sent for production. Taamaa / Loco Design (Delhi) made the first batch of trophies, each weighing approximately 11kg. I wanted it heavy – if it ain't heavy, it ain't an elephant.
Many elephants had been awarded since 2013.
The award show has also grown to include media, PR, and space design.
While winning a trophy remains challenging, there's a good chance you will encounter them in studios across India that have consistently produced excellent creative work.
