Lisa Detanna's profile

The Rotary Foundation’s Paul Harris Fellow Designation

Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Investments with the Los Angeles offices of Raymond James Financial, Lisa Detanna has a long history of volunteer and charitable involvement. The Rotary Foundation has recognized Lisa Detanna as a Paul Harris Fellow.

To become a Paul Harris Fellow, an individual must contribute at least $1,000 (or amass at least $1000 in namesake contributions) to The Rotary Foundation. This designation bears the name of the early Rotary visionary and third President of the Rotary Club of Chicago, Paul Harris. Notable Paul Harris Fellows include Mother Teresa, Jimmy Carter, and Pearl Bailey.

When it created the Paul Harris Fellow program in 1957, Rotary had only one initiative: the Ambassadorial Scholarship precursor known as the Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study. Recipients of the Paul Harris Fellow designation received a certificate of recognition. Over the years, awards of recognition have changed to a metal medallion and, now, a certificate and pin.
