A sandwich creation that's truly so fine!
Beefsteak tomato, vibrant and red,
On this journey, it's the star, it is said.

Homemade mayo, creamy and smooth,
Adds a touch of richness, a savory groove.
Dill, with its freshness, it does impart,
A burst of flavor, a real work of art.

Together they mingle, a culinary dance,
In a sandwich, they find their chance.
Dark rye bread, the vessel, strong and true,
This masterpiece sandwich, I share with you!
INGREDIENTS

1 large beefsteak tomato
Dark rye bread sliced
Pinch of salt & pepper
Some fresh dill
instructions

* Use a sharp knife to slice the tomato into thick, even slices. Aim for about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick slices. Season the slices lightly with a pinch of salt and pepper.
* Wash the fresh dill sprigs and pat them dry with a paper towel. Remove the dill leaves from the stems. You can use whole leaves or finely chop them, depending on your preference.
* On one side of each bread slice, spread a generous amount of homemade mayo. Be sure to spread it evenly to the edges.
* Assemble the Sandwich.
* Place the seasoned beefsteak tomato slices on the mayo-covered side of one of the bread slices. Layer them as you like, but make sure they cover the bread evenly.
Sprinkle the fresh dill leaves or chopped dill over the tomato slices. The dill adds a burst of herbal freshness to the sandwich.
