Different images created for a video segment of the DVD for the multimedia kids book Songs for Angus.
The segment showed a woman going to an animal shelter to select a new pet.
Each picture was hand-drawn in pencil on paper, then scanned into a computer.
Then, using a stylus and pad, the image was "inked", creating the final outlines for the character.
On another layer, the block colors were added to the different areas of the drawing.
Then, the shading, highlights, and textures were added last...
The final images were placed within a digital background and moved to give the illusion of a camera panning across multiple cages in the shelter.
