Calendar of happiness for old people
In Germany the percentage of elderly people in the population grows. In the past they were highly respected because of their life experience, but nowadays they often stand apart. In view of this fact the present bachelor thesis focusses on elderly people and asks for causes of happiness at an old age.
By what is it characterized?
To answer this and similar questions, people aged between 67 and 90 years were interviewed about their personal happiness. The calendar of happiness is the result of a selection of 11 respectively 13 interviews.
Primarily this calendar addresses elderly people, but furthermore also young people. The calendar shall generate a conscious and happy life and emphasize the positive aspects of seniority.
The colourful design of the different calendar sheets picks up the aspects of personal happiness mentioned in the interviews, turns them monthly into abstract illustrations and leaves room for personal interpretation.
The interviews on the subject of happiness at an old age are hidden behind the graphically designed calendar sheet that refers to them. So the calendar accompanies the reader month by month throughout one year and he gets impulses to deal with the topic of happiness again and again consciously or unconsciously.
