We jumped at the chance to help our good friends at ByteDance create this graphics package concept for an upcoming eSports Championship Tournament.
This graphics package was broadcast within the stadium and streamed live online. Featuring 2D motion graphics behind 3D character models. One challenge of this piece was to ensure the numerous design and animation elements complemented rather than conflicted with one another.
Typography.

Typography needed to be bold and tall for viewing across multiple platforms - mobile devices in particular benefit from this design choice, but it is also very effective for the visibility in venue.
The Slash.

To capture the cut-throat nature of ferocious, competitive esport competitions, The Slash element was established. The slash underpins the entire concept for this fast paced and exciting graphics package, drawing the audience's instant attention without being too distracting from the relevant information. This design motif is both awesome, an integral to the graphics package.
Forget It!

Under pressure in the heat of the moment, mistakes are often made, and embarrassment ensures. Although hilarious for those watching, some of these moments we'd just rather forget. Enter MIB.
