Gray wolf digital sketch - day 34 of posting everyday

Hey, it's day 34 of posting everyday challenge. I wanted to post something a bit more personal, my first digital sketch I made years ago when I was a kid. It feels like a lifetime ago, but you can still see I'm a perfectionist lol. Thank you for the support !

If you wish to recreate I suggest:
• using a thin paper that isn't high quality if you're a beginner
• art is about practice and making mistakes so don't be afraid of throwing out a few papers
• using a pencil that's on the harder side like most commonly used HB and using softer ones for details like B2
• references help understand how an object (in this case animal) presents itself, maintains balance etc.
• gray wolves, or timber wolves, are canines with long bushy tails that are often black-tipped.
• their coat color is typically a mix of gray and brown with buffy facial markings and undersides, but the color can vary from solid white to brown or black. Gray wolves look somewhat like a large German shepherd.
• the gray wolf's story is one of the most compelling tales of American wildlife. Once, the wolf was widespread across most of North America, but it was hunted ruthlessly and extirpated over most of its range.
• today the wolf is making a successful comeback in some of its former habitat due to strong conservation efforts.
• wolves can appear much larger than they already are, this is because of their long fur. In winter when their fur is fully grown, their fur can be as long as 2 – 2.5 inches on their backs and sides.
• grey wolves have very strong jaws. Wolves have 42 teeth altogether.
