Russian Industrial Design Day (RIDD) 2023
A platform for industrial designers, fonds and institution collaboration. RIDD is an annual event that is aimed to help all participants connect, share experience, get support in solving production problems, find new partners and sponsors, and grow.
When working with the longread, the recognizable image of old brochures and catalogs of industrial design objects was taken as a basis. Using the example of a chair as one of the basic units of industrial design, the style plays on the process of shaping itself. From the same simple geometric shapes, different objects are obtained. Animations of assembling and disassembling an object symbolize the analysis of the process and the exchange of experience. Identical chairs in a row are associated with mass production.
